Trump is the only one that is saying we need to keep America safe again. “You
know, it’s like, on one hand – your cousin’s death is used as a ploy for
political gain. On the other hand, it’s a national story.”
Wade spoke about a variety of ways to tackle the violence in
the city, and said he hopes his return to Chicago will enable him to help the
community. "But at the end of the day, we are talking about how safe — or
how unsafe our country is and how we do need to stop these criminals and we do
need to protect our country," Goertz said. So he by no means meant any
harm by that. I can guarantee you that."
“I was kind of conflicted,” Wade told ABC News’ “Good
Morning America” in an interview that aired Friday.
Wade also told Stephanopoulos that his kids are afraid of
the police, a sentiment that Trump is unlikely to amplify.
